New Beauty Alert!

On Sunday morning I had been going through some emails and browsing on Instagram and I found myself following and reading about hair care more than usual. With the weather changing so does your hair and skin so I really wanted to beef up my knowledge with the latest products and regiments.

So lately I've really wanted to try protective low maintenance styles. Before I give you my spiel on what I tried let me first tell you about my hair type. I have the tightest coil type of hair with that being said I called myself a "Relaxed Natural" I know - no such thing. Let me explain, I relax my hair at least once a month or every 6 weeks. (I really try to stretch at least 6 -8 weeks) and I wash and condition my hair every other week. On the opposite week of a relaxer I also always try to deep condition and also get my hands dirty with scalp massage hot oil with protein to replenish my scalp from the protein that it may lack from my relaxers. I've been relaxing for about 12 years now and I get so many compliments about how healthy my hair looks and feels. Now I call myself the "Relaxed Natural" because I find myself using natural products on my hair most. (I.e. Mill Creek Biotin Thickening Shampoo and Condition, Luster's Jojoba Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil and many others) I try not to over process my hair nor do I put heat in my hair. I stick with the same products to seek the best results. I 'm really not a fan of constantly trying new products; I will probably introduce a new product once every four months if that. The product that I introduced first this year is Cantu Coconut Curling Cream.

I always been very skeptical with trying Bantu knot out on my relaxed hair because I never thought I would have the curl body I desired. Well guess what folks! I tried it with the Curling Cream and it came out extremely well, very bouncy, curly and moisturized. Now, I am post relaxer from last week and the knot out still took so well! My spiral curl came out beautiful being as the coils were stacked on top of each other. Below are some before and after pictures of my relaxed Bantu knot out with Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream. Tell me if you try it out and what products you think works best for you I would love to hear from you all.
