The ladies behind the heels
"Life takes us in so many different directions and can make you lose sight of your goals and the things you are passionate about.Hashtags and HighHeels was created as an creative outlet to constantly remind us to stay patient and stay focused no matter where life takes us"
Tiffany is the creative guru that blends Hashtags and Highheels together. The love of fashion for Tiffany was born when Mattel's Barbie became all that she knew. She began sewing at a young age making clothes for her dolls and Barbie's. The sewing later turned into fashion sketching and she began her artistry in grade school getting rewarded for multiple art work and even getting her art showcased in calendars.
During high school Tiffany was struck with the daunting decision to decide what it is she would study in college, she then began modeling during this time and even auditioned for America's Next Top Model. After she began modeling, her art work and love of fashion started to get pushed to the back because the model life was so demanding. Still on the fence as to what she would be studying she decided that she wanted a career that would breathe life into everything that she loved. She always had color pens and a handy journal with her so she always considered journalism and she also loved to read. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Fashion Marketing from The Art Institute of Philadelphia. Her early passion of reading, writing, art and fashion is what drives her to pursue a career in publication and editorial fashion.
Tiffany has worked with top publications in the magazine industry such as Conde Nast Traveler, Glamour and Essence Magazine. She loves everything in regards to empowering women and being the best possible asset to yourself. She enjoys traveling, reading, culture studying, food, drawing, tea blending and yoga!
Danielle, born in small suburb outside of Philadelphia always had a passion for television and film. Growing up she enjoyed watching entertainment news shows such as Access Hollywood and E! News. That passion led her to achieve a BA Broadcasting from Temple University. There she got to work first hand at a major network, interning at MTV. Being able to edit original content and work along side major celebrities, not to mention producing her first documentary had a profound influence on her career post grad.
Today she works as a freelance videographer and of course entertainment blogger for Hashtags and HighHeels. Always having a knack for creative writing and after seeing such an abundance of black women starring, writing, and directing major productions in television and film, she was inspired to start writing her own scripts. When she’s not writing you can find the budding naturalista watching YouTube tutorials for different methods on how to achieve the perfect twist out. With a newfound love for reading you just might find her head buried in a book or booking her next flight to a foreign land. One thing that is for certain she is always creating and truly believes that we should constantly strive to perfect our craft.
